Beau & Arrow is a small, private matchmaking firm in Chicago, founded and run by James Antonsen.
My family has run a matchmaking company for as long as I've been alive. When I was a kid, introductions were made on VHS tapes. It was low-tech, and it worked, because someone who knew both people well decided they should meet.
I've been matchmaking myself for fifteen years. Along the way I matched gay men on WE tv's Love Blows, and built a career in sales and client service learning how to listen to what people actually want, which is rarely the same as what they first say.
I started Beau & Arrow to bring that old-fashioned craft to people who are worn out by the apps. It began as a matchmaking service for gay men in Chicago. Today Beau & Arrow is built around how men date, with dedicated searches for men seeking women and men seeking men, all to the same standard.
Not a call center, not a junior associate, not a chatbot. I run your search and I make your introductions.
Every person I introduce you to, I've met. That is the part of matchmaking that can't be automated, and it's the part that matters.
About your odds, about what's realistic, and about feedback after a date. Honesty is how the next introduction gets better.
A beau is an old word for a suitor. An arrow is aimed, not scattered. Together they're what we do: one well-chosen introduction at a time, sent with intent.
Fifteen minutes, no cost, no obligation. I'll ask what you're looking for and tell you honestly whether I can help.
